Cost of Living

Too many hardworking Oklahomans are working full time yet still struggling to afford housing, put food on the table, or cover unexpected expenses. Families should not have to choose between paying bills, buying medicine, or feeding their children.

Andrea supports raising the minimum wage through HB 832 because anyone working full-time should be able to support themselves and their family. Increasing wages helps strengthen local communities, supports small businesses, and gives families greater financial stability.

Andrea also believes housing is a critical part of affordability. As housing costs continue to rise, more Oklahomans are facing housing insecurity and homelessness. She supports expanding shelters, low-barrier housing options, and community-based programs that help individuals and families get back on a stable footing. Everyone deserves a safe place to sleep and access to resources that help them succeed.

Food insecurity is another growing challenge across Oklahoma, especially for seniors, children, and working families. Andrea opposes cuts or additional restrictions to SNAP benefits because these programs provide essential support to families facing difficult times. No child should go hungry because their family is struggling to make ends meet.

Andrea is committed to fighting for practical solutions that lower costs, expand opportunity, and help Oklahoma families thrive.
